Buick sits down with wo0t and talks to him about the recent medic masterpiece "Homocide", and takes the time to interview some choice guests. If you missed it before; PLDX: http://www.pldx.com/movie/812/Homocide_A_Medic_Movie/ DL: http://www.mediafire.com/file/zldiwl1bjjq/Homocide.mp4 Filefront: http://www.filefront.com/14506777/Homocide.mp4 I caught up with wo0t as he was walking down the street in a neon-green skirt and a wife beater. When you get the idea to do a medic movie? I got the idea after I failed to kill a scout for the 14th time and Grillz needled him down, as usual. I came on one day and told Grillz that I was going to make him a movie, he said "oh, ok" and then I started. How come we haven't seen many medic movies in the past? Medic movies are really hard to make. They don't have well defined movie moments like airshots or medic picks, so it's much harder to keep a flowing edit and not slow the pace down too much. Knowing that there haven't been many what did you decide to do differently to set the bar in regards to medic movies? One thing I really wanted to stay away from was a "needle-only" style, such as kynnell's movie. Although I liked it, I wanted to present the more nuanced side of medicing (I suck at it, so this whole movie was an excuse for me to learn and then say "Grillz, why don't you do what Agron does?") How long did it take you, and what was the experience like overall? Actually editing the movie only took me a couple days since I opted for a pretty minimal style. The hardest part of the whole process was watching all the demos! Agron sent me about 50 and I got a ton more from other medics, and none of them provided me with ticks! I had to watch every single demo, and I'm pretty sure I gained 5 pounds watching them. I liked the concept of the movie, and editing it, but my god the watching/recording of all the demos was just mind-numbing. How did you put up with having to watch hours of medic demos, the only people I've ever met who found that interesting were medics themselves? Lots and lots of Adderall. Did putting so much time and effort into this change your views in regards to anything? I have learned that most medics prefer men, are really insecure about their clips ("um, did it get in the movie? it's totally ok if it didn't"), and that I'm really glad I don't play medic. Any last words? Thanks to Seagull for helping collect a ton of demos for me, BUICK for interviewing/pestering me, my sister Deeival for supporting and making me mac & cheese!!! And a BIG HUG to my lovely girlfriend Grillz, who meds, supports, and loves me every day! The only thing left to do was get crowd reactions, and let me tell you did I: Tell me what you thought about HOMOCIDE? BRUCE: slushies BRUCE: half off sales at macy's BRUCE: loose boxer briefs BRUCE: where your balls hang out the bottom Excellent, how do you feel about the role of the medic in this game? BRUCE: lemonade BRUCE: made out of limes On that note I decided I might have a better reaction asking some of my neighbors what they thought of it. Do you think there will be a HOMOCIDE II? My neighbor Eric: Yeah. Tell me how you felt when it was over? My neighbor Eric: OK Right then and there I knew what the problem was, it was that he actually hadn't seen the movie yet. I quickly brought out my laptop to show him it but realized he went inside and refused to answer his door when I rang the bell. Confused and bewildered, I walked home and had some of that really delicious key-lime pie that they sell in the refrigerated section but once you open it you need to put it in the freezer. |
