(GotFrag) - The long and winding road of TWL's 4th Season has come to an end and the playoffs for their four divisions is set to kick off the week of September 21st (don't check your calender, that's next Monday). The format is a single-elimination bracket with each match being a best-of-three, with 8 teams from each division (12 from Div1) competing in their own brackets and picking the maps to play on themselves:

There will be separate playoff brackets for each division of the league. Division 1 will have a 12-team single-elimination bracket with the top 4 receiving byes. We will take the teams from 1b (the invite division) and 5 teams from 1a (the standard division), in order to give the non-invite teams their shot at glory. Divisions 2 and 3 will each have 8-team single-elimination brackets, with the top 4 and top 2 from each subdivision, respectively.

Each week of playoffs will consist of a best-of-three-map series for each matchup, each map being played for 30 minutes. The teams will take turns eliminating maps from the map pool until only three remain. Then the higher seed will pick the first map, the lower seed the second, and the third map will be the tiebreaker. The map pool will be the 8 maps that were played in the regular season: granary, follower, well, badlands, yukon, gravelpit, waste, and freight. - trainRiderJ|TWL

While the seedings & brackets have yet to be passed along for Divisions 3 & 4, trainRiderJ was kind enough to pass along brackets for the top two divisions, as laid out below, which GotFrag TF2 will be covering in week-by-week Melee's.
