Team Fortress 2: Blight Gaming picks up 20ID

By: Everett Wells - Published November 09, 2009 at 6:47 PM EST - Writer Archive
Despite rumours of their breaking up, the majority of 20ID has just been picked up by Blight Gaming.
(GotFrag) - After an exciting end to the ESEA-Invite Season 4 Playoffs where the team finished 3rd after losing a close 5-4 match to United States Loaded, rumours were swirling about the future of the United States 20ID roster, which many thought would retire from the game due to lack of interest/dedication.

While it is true that (for now at least) the 20ID tag won't be seen anymore, the rumours have proven to be false as United States Blight Gaming has announced the pickup of the majority of the 20ID-roster, save for their leader hubris who is reportedly quitting. The rest of the core players (listed below) will be tagging up under their new organization in advance of ESEA-Invite Season 5, information for which has begun to come out as the Season 4 LAN Playoffs finish up.

The team will be joined by a mysterious yet-to-be-announced 6th player, who will fill the medic role on the roster.

United States Blight.TF2 roster:
Tim "dummy" Olson
Brandon "Seagull" Larned
Sarah "Ruwin" Zerinski
Samuel "oPlaiD" Lingle
Hong "hong" Cheung
6th Player TBA
