Warcraft 3: x6 shakeup; VG expands

Verge-Gaming opens their arms today to a new division as Check-Six says good-bye to a rather large portion of their WC3 team.

Verge Gaming, a high class multi-gaming organization, today announced the pick-up of most of Check-Six's WC3 team. Verge-Gaming looks to make a mark as a major Warcraft III competitor in the wake of x6's absence in the Warcraft 3 League.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin (October 11th, 2005.) --- Verge Gaming is pleased to announce the addition of an all star lineup to its Warcraft III division.  The team, founded and owned by Matt Marcou, will be managed by Marcou and sponsoring partner, Jose Toro.  Additionally the team will be led by Albert “GeNThO” Berriz. 

Already the team is set to compete at the Digital Life Event in New York, the CPL World Tour: Chile, the World e-Sports Games in Seoul, Korea, and the World Cyber Games in Singapore.  Furthermore, the team will be replacing Check 6 in the popular online Warcraft III league, WC3L.

Verge Gaming’s current roster is compromised of the following members:

The team’s sentiments were best summed up by David “Pillage” Malka: “I'm really excited about becoming a part of Verge Gaming. Being friends with the manager as well as most of the players, I expect it to be a new and exciting adventure for everyone, and I'm looking to what the future holds in store for all of us.”

ABOUT VERGE GAMING:

Verge Gaming was founded in May of 2005 with the intent to further and promote the e-Sports industry through professional management of players and e-Sport team franchises.  Since its founding, Verge Gaming has managed 26 contracted players and participated in 10 e-sports events and leagues including CPL Summer 2k5 and WCG US Finals.

In addition to its newly founded Warcraft III team, Verge Gaming also manages a successful Counter-strike: Source team and Dead or Alive (XBOX) team.
