With a new CAL season upon us, coL|warr1ck puts down his top 10 teams of Main.

Many of these teams will be playing their matches on waaaghTV live in the coming weeks. Nothing is better than knowing who the DOTA powerhouses are and their backgrounds. So without further delay I bring you the list of the top 10 CAL teams as voted on by the some of the top CAL-M and CAL-O players.

#1 JMC

Formerly clan APEX in CAL season one. Jax Money Crew looks to try to repeat their first season success. Coming off of a flawless playoff record and only one match loss during the regular season, JMC is the current team to beat. Their roster however has been altered with the loss of long time APEX member p0c being replaced with the very talented Merlini. Led by Fang, JMC has everyone excited to see what they will have in store for CAL season two.

#2 coL

Clan compLexity should do very well for themselves again this upcoming CAL season. All five starting members from season one will be returning. They were the only team to pull off a flawless regular season and had a very impressive three month win streak before losing to APEX in the CAL championships. Led by Fear, compLexity will be a tough team to face in season two. CompLexity has winning a CAL title in season two as their top priority, and will be doing whatever it takes to make this a reality..

#3 verGe

Formerly clan WAC in CAL season one. Led by a2.Damnedklng, the team landed a major sponsorship following their great first season in CAL. VerGe Gaming of Counter-Strike Source fame was lucky enough to recently pick up this fine DOTA team. Looking to repeat their success in season one, verGe hopes to advance past the final four in season two and find themselves in the hunt for a CAL championship. Clan verGe has their entire season one roster returning and is a team that will only continue to improve in the upcoming season..

#4 tPD

Pandemic looks to redeem themselves in their second season of CAL after being knocked out of the playoffs in a very close 3 game series versus clan verGe in the elite eight. They will be losing the very talented wonklatician, but this team has also gained the equally talented Jolly and Mike from clan WHO. Led by Fachh, Pandemic was the only team to defeat defending champions JMC in a 2-0 victory in season one. Pandemic will be a favorite again this season to win it all. Well-known for their very unorthodox strategies, it will be exciting to see how Pandemic plays using their new talent along with their returning veterans in season two.

#5 Nafu

Formally clan VAC in CAL season one. Clan VAC decided to change back to their old namesake of clan Nafu. Nafu had a very good run in season one reaching the final four only to lose to compLexity 0-2. Led by DarkSlayr, this team will be gunning for a top spot again in season two. They have been together for a very long time and are the top ranked USWest server clan. They were able to knock out GT and TACO from the playoffs and will be a force to be reckoned with in season two. There is a good chance that if Nafu plays up to their potiential they can easily be CAL season two champs.

Regular Season: 7-0-1 Playoffs: 3-1

#6 GT

Clan Gosu Teachers is the most dominant European team in CAL. Gosu Teachers made a name for themselves by becoming the Romanian National champions of DOTA and have had great success in both CAL and DOTA leagues. They had a very impressive regular season only losing one match to compLexity in two very close games. They are led by Snake and are the only main team with the privilege of being able to play their matches at a LAN center together which sponsors the team. They are a bunch of real life friends that just may have what it takes to become CAL champions in season two.

#7 TACO

Clan Total Annihilation CO. Taco had what can only be described as a Cinderella season. Barely reaching the playoffs TACO had their backs to the wall. They were able to start off by being the only #8 seed to knock off a #1 seed in the playoffs. They then followed this up by another amazing victory in the sweet 16. TACO became the league's Cinderella team, finally being knocked out in close controversial series vs clan Nafu in the elite eight. Led by I)arkSide, clan TACO is now seen as a very strong team and will continue to improve throughout CAL season two. They just may be able to have another amazing playoff run and find themselves as champions.

Regular Season: 5-0-3 Playoffs: 2-1

#8 LNTC

The Little Noobs That Could which is former clan PGVN looks to come out strong in season two. LNTC finished with a very impressive regular season one record and was able to get a number one seed in the playoffs. They advanced to the elite eight where they were knocked out by defending champions JMC. Led by de_sheets, LNTC should have another strong showing in season two. They are a team that is still unknown by the community at large but they managed to rack up impressive numbers in season one. If their first season success is any indication of how they will do in season two then there is a good chance that LNTC the CAL championships may be in their sights.

Regular Season: 7-0-1 Playoffs: 2-1

#9 Xylo

Clan Xylo Rocket had a very impressive regular season with their worst match resulting in a tie. They entered the playoffs as a #1 seed only to be knocked off in the first round by by the impressive clan TACO. Xylo Rocket has recently acquired former APEX member TheMuFf1nMaN which will add to an already strong lineup. Led by vR.Dang, Xylo is another elite west clan with CAL season two finals as a top priority. They have a very experienced roster and just may have what it takes to make it all the way to the top.

Regular Season: 7-0-1 Playoffs: 0-1

#10 mainLine

Another sponsored team clan mainLine is the combination of former clan Axe and clan Fuse members along with others. They have a very experienced roster and clan Axe made a nice playoff run in season one. Led by Benboy, Mainline just may have what it takes to make a major impact in their first CAL season together. They were already able to be added to the exclusive CAL-main based on their impressive player roster. Only time will tell how all these exceptional players work together in their first season playing together.
