Warcraft 3: CPL announces DotA BYOC tournament

The Cyberathlete Professional League has announced that the CPL Winter 2006 Championship event will feature a WarCraft III Defense of the Ancients BYOC tournament.
The Cyberathlete Amateur League (CAL) announced today a BYOC tournament for the CPL 2006 Championship Finals, featuring Warcraft III: Defense of the Ancients (DotA).

This game has been discussed often and with its popularity rising, the CPL has agreed to allow the DotA community to showcase their game in a tournament environment. The CPL has opened registration for 12 five-player teams.
