World Elite's first team kicks off a weekend of exciting matches in the NGL this afternoon when they face Clan Go. The Chinese team opened the season with a comfortable 4-1 victory over their European counterparts and it will take a strong performance from Go to prevent a reapeat of that result. Go themselves had a harsh fixture to begin their season and a 4-1 defeat at the hands of 4k was hardly the start they would have been looking for. With talented players like Focus and Shy they won't be an easy team to beat but WE will the edge.

Despite making it to the WC3L finals, Mouz lost their opening match against one of the teams missing from those finals, SK. A narrow 4-3 defeat meant they were pointless after the first match day but today they face a slightly easier task in the shape of WE.Europe. As mentioned above, the WE second team suffered a heavy defeat on the opening day and with Mouz' recent form this will not be an easy tie either. Expect Mousesports to get their season up and running with a win in this game.

Finally for Saturday we have WC3L league toppers, 4k in action against Fnatic. 4k struggled slightly with the unusual format of NGL last season but still managed to make the playoffs. They undoubtedlly have the favourites tag heading into this match but with a bit of luck and some help from a possible Grubby/RotterdaM re-match Fnatic could perhaps steal this one away from 4k. However, with the recent solo performances from the effervescent duo of Grubby and ToD and last week's three wins for Creolophus against Go, the wise money is still on 4k.

The weekend and indeed match day two are rounded off by mTw and mYm on Sunday evening. On paper this is a no-brainer; reigning WC3L and NGL-one champions taking on a team whose glory days seem long gone. In fact, there will be little more to it than that. This should be a fairly easy victory for mYm and their German opponents will be looking for the moral victory of not being 0'd.
