The seasonal battle to avoid the relegation dogfight began for the lower-mid ranked teams in the WC3L today. A busy weekend for Hoorai saw them slump to three defeats in two different competitions. They lost in NGL-one to American rivals, Verge yesterday and today they lost two games in the WC3L playdowns. In the early hours of this morning they faced Clan Go and continued a bout of dysmal form recently, losing 4-1. Against SK Germany they would have fancied their chances, surely, but the continued lack of form from Nilknarf hurt them and with his and PaTo's solo games yet to be played, Hoorai has already lost the match itself. These two defeats mean that Hoorai will be forced into the qualification tournament for next season, alongside Verge, mTw and the loser of tomorrow's game. Speaking of tomorrow, Clan Go, with its Korean stars look like the favourites to avoid the re-qualification tournament now. When the teams met earlier in the season, Go romped to a 4-1 victory over their opponents. While regular season form doesn't always translate directly to post-season it would be a big upset if SK were to pick up a win here.
