Primary Race: Night Elf WC3L Season X Player Rank: 8th Home Map: Secret Valley
SaSe is undoubtedly the man of the hour for mousesports. Ever since he was picked up a year ago, he has steadily grown into mouz’s main man. His performance this season is outstanding—winning a total of 8 matches and losing only three. The three players he lost to are no pushovers: Shy, Sweet and Grubby. Shy is a talented Night Elf from the former clan Go where he lost the match 0-2. Playing against Grubby didn’t give him slack either—the Orc player took him down without dropping a map. SaSe also went against Sweet, where he managed to get one map from the top Undead player. The rest of his victories represent his versatility as a player. His prowess with the Night Elf race knows no apparent weakness—winning against a good mix of players. For Human, he won against SonKiE and Lash; for Orc, against Lyn and Farseer, all with convincing 2-0 victories. His shining moment is probably a stunning victory against top Undead player Lucifer, where he was able to win 2-1. However, gauging his performance against Night Elf is left hard to determine, as his only mirror matchup was his loss against Shy. Without SaSe, mousesports would probably crumble this season, but instead—it found itself sitting nicely on the 3rd spot of the rankings. Coupled with his vast international experience in worldwide tournaments where he participates constantly throughout the past months, SaSe just continues to prove how he’s a valuable asset to his team.
Michael "Giacomo" Hladik Primary Race: Undead Giacomo is a newcomer to mousesports, but certainly not in the Warcraft III scene. He’s been a staple Undead player in the European scene for years, and was recently picked up this season by the German team to boost their roster. Giacomo has satisfactory results this season, winning 6 of his 8 matches—not bad, especially since he’s up against the world’s best in the WC3L. His wins include taking down numerous Night Elf players: hanf, Rainman, EVE and PaTo, making him a formidable player against Elf, winning all his matches against this race. He also took down Orc players Fisch and RotterdaM, notwithstanding Undead’s racial weakness against this race. Giacomo’s only losses came from three players—Gostop, Zacard and FoV, which says a lot for the Czech player. This means while he might be a notch lower than the Korean progamers, he can certainly tough it out with the rest of them. Giacomo losing to two Undead players might seem like this is his weakest matchup, but GoStop and FoV are no ordinary players. Giacomo has been well-known for his strength in playing mirror, so don’t count his skills against the Undead race out. Giacomo’s contributions to the team make him just as essential to the team as his teammate SaSe.
