The ESL has adopted a new WarCraft III International league dubbed WCIP - WarCraft 3 International Premiership. This new league is open to any and all teams willing to compete. The WCIP is the result of a merger between Cold League Esports and the ESL itself. Danny "D4nny" Brooks, former head admin of the Cold League will resume his former position for the WCIP. The league will have two separate divisions, each with 12 teams participating.

Sign ups for the qualifier have already begun, and will last until March 25th. 128 teams will battle it out in 3 different qualifying stages. The first stage will be a single elimination tournament, hosting 4 1v1s and 1 2v2 in each match. Each game will only be a best of 1, so it is imperative that you seed your players correctly. The top 8 teams will be directly invited to the 1st division, while the rest of the teams will have another chance to qualify. The second stage will be held exactly like the first, however this time the top four teams will advance to the 1st division, while the 5-8th placing teams will head to the 2nd division. Finally, the third stage will have the top 8 teams all qualifying for the 2nd division.
