Team fnatic qualifies for a big Warcraft III tournament for the first time, boasting of a young roster bursting with talent. This preview explores its main players and their contribution to the team.
This clan is actually a personal favorite. Why? I seem to prefer rooting for the underdogs. While other people are going crazy over Four Kings, MYM or World Elite--I find the young, idealistic fnatic a nice team to root for. fnatic is the team that almost always makes it, but gets beat out by the other favorites. Imagine being put up against powerhouses and fan favorites. It sucks to always come in fifth place when there's only four to fly to the finals. But amazingly, in the second season of NGL1—they started out strong and finished with a flourish. Their impressive performance merited them a spot in the offline finals, which would largely be the first time for this fresh-faced team. If the Four Kings have experience, Meet Your Makers talent, then fnatic can boast of uninhibited can-do attitude. While being gung-ho doesn't necessary give them a slew of fanboys at their midst, it's only a matter of time until these young players get their own personal fans club. The team seems to have found their stable point, after losing and getting new players for the past year. Players such as SaSe and Creolophus found new homes in mousesports and Four Kings respectively, leaving fnatic scrambling for new players for some time. Luckily, after a couple of clans decided to disband, players such as Satiini and XyLigan now found themselves a new home. Now their roster looks pretty much stable, with RotterdaM leading the pack, followed by Satiini, XyLigan and their new Undead elfittaja. The team has a short roster of only 5 players, with one (Elakeduck) who slips in and out of inactivity. Despite this, the team managed to hold their ground--even better than those who have a bloated lineup. There’s probably no one in the world who would expect fnatic to win it all at the NGL1 finals. Four Kings, World Elite and Meet Your Makers would always scruffle it out on the top, while fnatic stays under the radar. Well, who can blame them? People always gravitate towards heavy names from the other top clans. And when people are busy thinking about their Moon or Grubby or Sky... fnatic's players would slowly climb the ranks and become the next-gen favorite. Meet Your Makers Playday Results
