For the fifteenth season of EuroCup, ClanBase has decided to hold a qualification tournament to determine 24 players that will join up with the existing invitees to compete in the EuroCup XV. In previous seasons, ClanBase had invited all the players that would take part in EuroCup, however, this season's innovative qualification tournament opens up slots for many rising talents of Europe.

The players that have been invited by ClanBase to compete in the EuroCup XV consist of 24 of the most well-known players and newcomers of Europe. Amongst the players is last season's winner, Kevin "RotterDaM" v.d. Kooi, who replaced Andrey "Deadman" Sobolev in the offline finals, going on to defeat Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen in the grand finals to take the gold.

In collaboration with GameSports, ClanBase is holding three separate qualification challenges, two of which have already taken place, where eight players would qualify from each event for the tournament.

Sixteen players have already earned their ticket into EuroCup XV through the first two challenges. Undead powerhouses, Sebastian "4K^FuRy" Pesic and Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin, will be amongst the players to compete in this season's tournament.

Eight more slots are at stake this Friday to total the 48 players that will be participating in the EuroCup XV. The top four players after the regular season will have a chance to compete in the offline finals, sponsored by PokerStrategy.cc and SteelSeries, for a money pot of 4000€ (approx. $5,322 USD) distributed  through the following placements.

1st - 2000€ ($2,661 USD)
2nd - 1000€ ($1,330 USD)
3rd - 600€ ($798 USD)
4th - 400€ ($532 USD)
