Warcraft 3: WCG 2007 China Wildcard Tournament

World Cyber Games releases the Groupstages that will compete in the Chinese WildCard Tournament for 2007.
The World Cyber Games has announced an online wildcard tournament that will take place this Saturday to determine three players that will earn their way into the final qualifications for WCG China 2007.

Sixteen players have been invited to take part in this qualification tournament. Among them are well-known players such as Liwei "xiaOt" Sun, Weiliang "Fly100%" Lu, and Zhuo "TeD" Zeng. Many rising talents of China have also been invited, carrying with them unique play styles that will surely surprise and prove no easy victory.

The players have been divided into four groups, where they will compete in a best-of-one round robin format. The top two from each group will advance to the playoffs. The tournament format for the playoffs shifts to a best-of-three single elimination bracket and the players placing top three will qualify themselves for the WCG China 2007 Finals and cash prizes totaling €900 (€500/300/100), approximately $1,211.
