Warcraft 3: TGL announces 2v2 Cup

The Gaming League has expanded their Warcraft division with the addition of a 2v2 Team Tournament.
After their acquisition of the Warcraft Premier League and its solo cup competition, the Gaming League has decided to add a 2v2 cup to their Warcraft III division.

The tournament will begin on Saturday, April 21st at 9 AM EST (15:00 CET). TGL has opened up an their online sign-up form for a maximum of 256 teams to take part in the cup.

Teams participating will face each other in a best-of-one series. After six rounds of play, the top two teams advancing from the brackets will play a best-of-three match for a prize of two (2) Steelpad QcK heavy presented by their sponsor SteelSeries.

Mappool for the 2v2 Cup
Round 1 - Avalanche
Round 2 - Lost Temple(RoC)
Round 3 - Goldshire
Round 4 - Turtle Rock
Round 5 - Twisted Meadows
Round 6 - Gnoll Wood
Final Round - First map will be Avalanche and a best-of-three will occur, where both teams can veto one map from the rest of maps played in tournament. The loser from the first game will then choose the next map.

To sign up the 2v2 cup, both players are required to have a registered account at league's official website. Teams wanting to participate must also check-in 30 minutes prior to the start of the matches (8:30 AM EST / 14:30 CET).
