Stars War IV continues on with the Chinese Qualifiers opening its four spots to thirty-two players, twelve more than its Korean counterpart. This not only means more talent, but also more competition over the four spots.

The players have been divided into eight groups of four. Within each group, the top two will move on to the double-elimination playoffs. From there, players will fight to earn their way onto the Chinese Stars War IV team.

Team China already consists of four players that have been voted onto the team through a public poll. The four players from this qualifier will total the eight that will be representing Team China in Stars War IV. Led by captain Xiaofeng "Sky" Li, China took the win at Stars War III and will hope to do the same this season.
