After announcing their partnership with the PGL to hold a Chinese Qualifier, the Warcraft 3 Champions League has opened up their application process for all teams to enter the league's twelfth season's qualification tournament.

Teams that are accepted from the application process will join the two losing teams from the Season XI Playdowns and the two Chinese teams that qualify through the Chinese Qualifier.

The application process will end on Sunday, May 13th. Team interested should submit an application with the following information:

- Clan name and ESL Team ID
- Team website and IRC channel
- Short clan history
- Recent player transitions
- List of Tournaments and Leagues with recent results
- Full roster and individual player achievements
- Five up-to-date replays from each player
