The 2007 China Stop for the Electronic Sports World Cup took place this past week, where many big names such as WE.IGE.Sky, wNv-xiaOt, and mouz.Fly100% fought to advance through and qualify for the two coveted spots for China in the ESWC Finals in Paris, France.

However, like many other recent Chinese tournaments, we see many young talents rise up and challenge the favorites. To much dismay, Sky and xiaOt failed to qualify through their groups, while many less known players from usT Gaming and Colorful succeeded on to the playoffs.

mouz.Fly100% and Colorful.Lyc fought hard in the upper bracket to battle for one of the two spots in France. WE.IGE.DuCui defeated usT-3H_Recall in the lower bracket and is awaiting his shot against the loser of the upper final.

UPDATE: Lyc was knocked down to the lower bracket, where he faced DuCui in the Consolation Finals. After defeated DuCui, Lyc was given a second chance at Fly100%, but was not able to overcome his adversary. Fly100 will take the 1st China seed at the ESWC Finals in Paris, Lyc taking the 2nd.
