By: Baptiste Gandrille - Published May 29, 2007 at 9:25 AM EDT - Writer Archive
The French ESWC 2007 Qualifiers took place in Chelles, France.

The best French players attended the ESWC qualifiers held in the Culture Center in the city of Chelles.

The event started with group stages, then proceeded for a single bracket elimination for the top two players to earn a ticket to represent France for the upcoming ESWC World Finals in Paris, France.

Not present at this prestigious qualifier is top Frenchman Yoan "4K.ToD" Merlo, who couldn't take part in the event due to his tenure in China. This gave more chances to other French players who are vying for one of the two spots.

Several of the players who chose to participate comes from the Team EFC: Idris "eLquA[EFC]" Ambraisse, Mateusz "hG[EFC]" Pietrzak and Sophian  "Sayen[EFC]" Bennoura. Another notable player is Christophe "GG18|Wolf" Laporte, known for his past participation in the World Esport Games tournament held in Korea two years ago.
