The group stage for the Extreme Masters is almost over and the league will soon move to the relegation match. After the thrilling match between Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen and Andrew "fire_de" Regendantz, the ESL announced live on air which players will face each other in the next round.

The draws were made randomly -- players who took 2nd place will play a 3rd place player, except a player which came from his own group. The players who took first place will automatically advance and will not require to play the relegation matches.

Here are the relegation matchups:

HasuObs vs. / ToD/fire_de
Ciara vs. Paladyn
/ ToD/fire_de vs. Protois
HoT vs. Nightwolf

The players who took first place are Samuli "elfittaja" Sihvonen, Juha-Matti "Satiini" Bäckström, Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen and Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin.

An ESL admin mentioned that in case any of these players listed will not be able to attend the finals, then the 2nd place player will assume the position of the first place seed.

The matches will begin next week, starting Tuesday, the 12th of February.
