Ten participants will face each other in March for the Extreme Masters finals.
Last week, the Extreme Masters ran its relegation matches to decide which player will advance to the LAN finals.

Grubby, elfittaja, Satiini and Happy all advanced automatically due to finishing first in their group. The 2nd and third place players had to play the relegation matches, wherein the winner will get a spot in the finals.

The matches all occurred in two days, where all winners won an easy 3-0 against their opponents. Paladyn, ToD, HasuObs and HoT will join their fellow Europeans in the 2nd week of March for the finals.

Additionally, two South Koreans managed to secure a spot in the competition by qualifying out of the Extreme Masters leg held in Los Angeles. SK Gaming's Lyn and Meet Your Makers' Lucifer will round out the 10 players slated to compete for the immense cash prize from this tournament.

The LAN Finals will separate the ten players into 2 groups with 5 players each, where the top two players advance to a double elimination stage.

However, due to pending visa troubles, the EM organization will hold an "11th place cup" to determine the possible replacements in case of no-shows. The players who will play this extra round are Ciara, fire_de, Protois and Nightwolf.
