The KODE5 Chinese qualifier took place in Shanghai, China over the weekend. Eight pre-qualified players battled it out in a double elimination bracket where only the winner would advance to the KODE5 Global Finals to be held later in the year. The tournament would use the not so popular best of one format, which really widens the skill gap in a WarCraft III event.

Infi of World Elite cruised his way through the upper bracket where he would meet TH000 in the Grand Final. TH000 lost in the first round but stormed his way back through the lower bracket. He would defeat Infi in the first map, but it was not enough as Infi would take take the second map and the trip to Moscow.
