Warcraft 3: Grubby, ChecK win weekend xLocups

Two big names win in this week's xLocups.
Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen downed Juha Matti "Satiini" Bäckström three to one, in a best of five match in the European xLocup.

Grubby finished off Satiini on the map Lost Temple, where the two players battled it out. Satiini won the game prior to the last on Echo Isles, with a long stand-off with Satiini defending his expansion and eventually pulling out a win.

As the first place winner, Grubby receives a 250€ prize.

Hyung Ju "Check" Lee became the first winner of the inagural Asian xLocup, held last Saturday. Several notable names joined in the tournament, such as Xiao Feng "Sky" Li, who seldom joins online events.

The Asian Cup has a tight list of countries who are allowed to join, to improve the quality of competition sans the trouble of finding "neutral" hosts between countries.

Players from South Korea, China, Australia and even Japan all signed up to compete in this tournament.

ChecK faced off against Zhuo "TeD" Zeng in the finals. ChecK wins 100€ prize for taking first place.
