The final playday has arrived, and teams fight for their resting place in the rankings.
It's been an amazing season, and as the dust settles, it's pretty clear which teams will be making the playoffs this year.
Team Alternate is sitting three points outside of the coveted top six, and will need a miracle to complete their Cinderella story and make the playoffs. They will be taking on third place team World Elite. Nothing short of a shut-out will give the Germans any hope of advancing.
Wicked, the team currently on the bubble, has a much easier task. To mathematically secure their playoff spot, all they need is a win against PGS. This might not prove as easy, however, with PGS being on their own bubble. Only one point ahead of hoorai, they will want to gain as many points as possible to avoid requalification.
Hoorai will be up against the new and improved fnatic. Looking to avoid requalification, the hoorai team will be highly motivated, while their opponents don't have much to gain. It will be interesting to see the outcomes of these two matches. The team who wants it more will have their shot at staying in the league for another season.
The other matches don't have much at stake, as first place team SK against mTw, while Serious Gaming find themselves as the bottom-feeders, and the light at the end of the tunnel is running out as they face MYM.
