The World Cyber Games leg in Asia releases its list of official games.
Fourteen countries are slated to compete in the World Cyber Games Asian Championship.

The event will again be held in Singapore, where all the past Asian Championships has been held, along with the WCG Grand Finals back in 2005.

The participating countries include Australia, China, Japan, India, South Korea, Thailand, New Zealand among others.

Five games to be played in this year's WCG-AC -- Defense of the Ancients, NFS Pro Street, FIFA 08, Guitar Hero III and Virtua Fighter 5.

The lineup of games are completely different from last year. One glaring difference is the exclusion of Warcraft III, which has been included for the past two years. Dead or Alive 4 and Age of Empires III has also been replaced.

Defense of the Ancients makes its return, as it is immensely popular in South East Asia, and was the games with the most participants in last year's WCG-AC.

They have integrated the new WCG '08 official games, such as Guitar Hero III, into the lineup. This completely removes any Real Time Strategy games from the tournament.
