Warcraft 3: Soccer defeats Lyn to win AWL Masters

Duck Man "Soccer" Youn defeated June "Lyn" Park in the grand finals of the AWL Masters, winning three maps and losing only one.
The Afreeca Warcraft League is a competition handled by the well known Korean organization NiceGameTV. They gathered the ten best players of the three precedent AWL editions for the Masters edition.

The ten invited players were Moon, WinNerS, SoJu, Space, Sweet (who forfeited), ReiGn, FoV, FoCuS and the winners of the last two AWL editions -- Lyn and Soccer. The latter were already qualified for the final step of the tournament, and the eight other players had to compete against each other to determine who will face Lyn or Soccer in the groupstage finale.

The competition held little surprises. However, Space managed to defeat both SoJu and Moon, which is definitely the biggest upset of the event. Unfortunately, the Undead player lost to the eventual winner two maps to zero.

The second group results are uneventful as well. Despite the forfeit of Sweet; FoV, ReiGn and FoCuS played impressive games. Teammates ReiGn and Lyn met each other in the semi-finals and Lyn emerged victorious, dropping a map against his Undead opponent.

By defeating one of the best players of the moment, Soccer earns himself $6,000 while Lyn gets $3,000.
