I've been playing on Realm Skullcrusher for my entire WoW Experience, and i'd have to admit that the horde there are pretty tough. I don't have any stories unlike anyone elses, but if anyone does, feel free to share.
alter of storms , always noobs joining both horde and alliance, i think cuz of the flashy name. any main playing time there is always like 10 new lvl 1's in the night elf starting area, which gives me more ppl to gank
Illidan by far. I´ve played in several realms but my main real has always been Illidan and I havent seen anything like it anywere else. And i´m not even considering the funeral crap to me that was just a joke.
I mean seriously everyone hates everyone. And several infamous guilds. Plus we have always performed well compared to other top servers so a lot of people have earned their bragging rights.
Illidan is definetly the most bad@$$ and ruthless server.
O and I would bet money one of our arena teams will be in the Semi-Finals and probably win the arena tournament (i´m talking about the big one that blizzard is organizing were you will face other battlegroups top teams in Blizzcon)

I'd say Illidan because of the funeral raid and the world pvp. From personal experience my second choice is Kalecgos. Bunch of kids in vent and in my school (also in vent) take over the menethil-theramore boat every night, making it impossible to get on the boat alive. All 7 of us are 70 Troll Rogues, soon to be making a pirate movie.
I've spec'd ap and chased people into the air and blasted them out of it, then waited for them to spirit rez at the GY, and camped them there. But I wouldnt even call my server anything near top " ruthless server ".
if you don't have friends playing there, just don't bother. roll horde? cruise on down to taren mill to get a general idea of how much *fun* leveling is going to be. roll alliance? gl in general, ej are kings of poopsock.
My main was on Emerald Dream when I played and the realm wasn't realy ruthless in the slightest because it's pve, I enjoyed playing on it alot though. Played on Talvinaar aswel though with a gnome warrior and Decimation played on there, they were a good raiding guild but didn't have any problems with stv campers on that realm. Did have trouble with a 60 shaman when I tried to level on twsiting neither though with my druid! :@

For those of you who voted Illidan, is it only because of SN's Funeral Raid?
Bleeding Hollow used to have some premiere world-PvP and some top class teams (Team Awesome/Sock Puppets).
Now, it just seems like a shell of its former self post transfers.

The only server where more people roll Alliance to PvP than Horde. The only server where you'll watch a 28 Draenei Shaman attack a 39 Blood Elf pally.
They are just that much into attacking people.
STV Nessys Camp is like a playground for 70s from top end guilds.
