i need help picking a class that im going to use for pvp im quite new so if you could give some suggestions to what class to go with i will be a happy man

what class do you PVE with? My advice is stick with what you know. It is hard to jump into any class and play it well... so I hope that helps.
I think i will get this tomorrow.

Mage or priest if you wanna be a sought after class for 3s or 5s (only thing that matters in next patch) other than those two I'd say get a prot pally healer :P

Honestly bro it jumps around alot. There are a few classes that always get the spotlight in arena (priest, mage, holy pally, rogue) then there are classes that get changed around and go on a roller coaster ride (and then those who are always about the same, but who cares about them?). Shaman is one of the latter. Sometimes we are boss, sometimes we are not. But the important thing is that no matter what you play you can always overcome. People complain about the balance of classes, but I'm sorry it's an MMO there is NO WAY to completely balance the classes without making them too close to the same thing (as has slowly begun happening). Remember, no matter how overpowered the comp you're playing is, there is ALWAYS a way to beat them, you just have to play your cards better than the other guy. Really it's about how well you know how to play your class. This means you need to know the weaknesses of other classes, and you need to know every single aspect of every single spell in your spellbook. You also need to know your own weaknesses so you can defend against them. I would suggest that instead of finding a class that is popular in PvP, get really good at the class you know and master it. It feels better to get a good rating with a completely off the wall comp than it does to do so with... let's say Rogue Mage Priest. Not to mention you get more respect for doing so. Heh, I'm currently running my resto shaman in a 2's with a ret pally. It's a ridiculous comp, but that's what makes it so fun. I can't just jump on arenajunkies and learn how it's done, we just figure out what works for us (and let me tell you there's not alot to choose from heh). When they buffed warriors while I was gone I considered coming back on my warrior to pvp, but then i realized I hadn't really played my warrior in WotLK yet except to level it. So I stuck with my shaman and I am happy with the result.

Anyway good luck with your decision, and remember it's not the class, it's how you play it.
