Today, the Counter-Strike and Quake 4 powerhouse Fnatic officially announced that they will be adding a World of Warcraft team. However, no one expected these three players to be forming the Fnatic World of Warcraft Squad. "I am glad to be able to compete again in a game which has an enormous userbase and is currently played very competitive in the new arena system," states Kaasjager. After retiring from eSports in 2005 from his impressive run with the game Painkiller, many thought that he would never pick up the mouse again. Both Harding and Ingarv are currently on the Quake 4 roster of Fnatic. However, the organization stated, "Both Jay “2GD” Harding and Alex “Ztrider’ Ingarv have been endorsing WoW since the launch, and decided that they would use the China stop (where there is no Quake 4) to play WoW at the competitive level. Even though the players are now competing in WoW, it does not mean that they will be exclusively playing this game. If they so wish, they will also play Quake 4 at a professional level." With the new WoW division, Fnatic will be traveling to the first WSVG stop of 2007, Wuhang, China. They will be up against very tough competition such as Pandemic's own WoW team.
