(GotFrag) - Major League Gaming, parent company of GotFrag.com, is adding PC gaming to 3 of its Pro Circuit Stops. The PC Circuit will feature World of Warcraft�: The Burning Crusade�, with $22,500 in prizes per event. The entire PC Circuit will be played on the HP Blackbird 002.

* Kick-off event: MLG San Diego, June 13th-15th
* Other stops: MLG Orlando, July 11th-13th and MLG Dallas, TBD.
* Official PC Circuit game: World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade�
* Format: Arena 3-vs-3 - more details on rules and the official format will be released on May 15.
* Total spots available: 32 teams
* Prizes: $22,500 per event

Stay tuned at MLGpro.com and GotFrag.com for the official press announcement as well as registration information. Registration is expected to open May 15th alongside MLG�s Pro Circuit registrations.

Please note that if you are interested in registering for this tournament, only 32 spots (teams) are available and you will need an MLG Account on ww.mlgpro.com in order to register.

MLG�s network of websites including MMO-Champion.com and GotFrag.com will be working to provide coverage and insight into the PC Circuit. GotFrag�s premier online video production, GotFrag TV, will be on site to deliver live streaming video coverage from all three events.

It's the logical choice for MLG. They picked up the most popular PC game there is to launch their PC division.

#2 If it isn't that hard to beat then why don't you and your friends gather up a little team and do it yourselves. Get contracts through television and such. I am all for 1.6 and dislike Source with a passion, but to say something like that is just silly.

WSVG failed doing this. i tried watching the CGS WoW matches. it was worse than watching the FIFA and racing matches. just because a game is popular doesnt mean it will get followed and watched. maybe they will pick up GTA4 next l!Ol1ol1 its the #1 game in xbox live atm! LOL

#14 there is no way WoW is more competitive than H3. There's a reason it's easily the leading competitive game in NA at the moment.

It is a start fans. I know a lot of people on here want CS 1.6 and who knows what the future holds but for right now there's sponsors and interest in WoW.

Only thing this news is braking is my balls. WOW is 0 worth watching, tried enjoying both the wsvg cast and the cgs cast. I would rather drink paint than do it a third time.

Agree with #17, Halo 3 is actually quite competitive and surprisingly enjoyable to watch. I do disagree with their choice of WoW:BC, unless they know something we don't. The WSVG put a lot of effort into making the WoW casts good, but it's just to difficult to keep track of the action. But I wish MLG luck and look forward to what they can do.

The point is for MLG at this moment its just them dipping their feet into PC gaming. Choosing a safer route then trying to host a big halo tourny and a just as big CS tourny. If the community is mature and calm and voice their opinion in a positive way they will most definately add more games in the future. MLG just needs ppl to show them that PC's at MLG is a good idea and not one they will regret!

Sundance recently went on the "Gamer's Corner" podcast and spoke about how some games are boring as hell to watch or too hard to follow.

Ironically, the MLG has chosen a game which is not only boring as hell to watch, but is very hard to follow as a spectator. Both the spells cast and melee combat are very hard to follow and have little distinction as far as animations go.

Yes, counter-strike lacks the graphics of other games they are currently using but to say that is garbage like #31 tried to do would just be silly. All counter-strike needs is for someone to pick it up and see how big it really is. Once that happens they can invest money into it and actually make a better version of counter-strike (ie. graphics and some minor tweaks that would be needed to make it more professional).

If they add Counter-Strike, they will rule the world

I'm pretty pumped to see jESUIT cast WoW. I can see it now, "Looks like that druid is going to be casting.. uh.. not really sure. Maybe roots?"

WSVG didn't do a bad job at all later in the season..I've got to give them that. If you guys trump their broadcasts right out of the gate, I'll be extremely impressed.

I'm very much pulling to see it though, because I was a fairly big advocate of 'WoW is boring to watch' myself until I had a better understanding of the game.

Ok, CS 1.6 fanboys need to get over it and understand that your game is old as balls and no one wants to watch 8bit pixelated crap anymore. Yes your gameis competitive, NO YOUR GAME DOES NOT APPEAL TO A SPECTATING PUBLIC OR TO SPONSORS. It may be a sad truth, but it is the truth. Understand and get used to this idea because the days of HUGE 1.6 LANs are done.

If you want to say the reason 1.6 doesnt appeal to the public to spectate is graphics then the same argument can be used for WoW. If you want to talk about realism WoW is about as far as you can get to it with the cartoon graphics....Back CoD4 if its all about graphics.

#46 no one said realism, WOW still takes a decent system to run well and it is visually appealing. I could go dig up a p3 1.6ghz 256mbram and a geforce 4 comp and play 1.6... SPONSORS dont want u buying relics, they want you buying new pretty and expensive things.

#43 I know all about WoW and I still can't bring myself to watch it. It's a boring drawn-out game of rock, paper, scissors where the lucky are rewarded hugely.

Nobody likes to watch this game. The money that Blizzard and Dell are sinking into it are going right down the drain and the days of WoW being on GotFrag are numbered. Even if Canon dumped millions of dollars into hyping up the sport of photography and ESPN aired it during prime time, it would capsize.

The MLG is learning a lesson in futility and it will be more expensive than they think. I don't understand what they were thinking by wasting the rest of this season learning what the rest of us already know: WoW is not competitive gaming and WoW is not watchable.

As a PC gamer, I'm insulted that their first pick to introduce PC gaming to the mainstream is World of Warcraft. Boo on MLG for getting sucked into Blizzard's pocket.

Better luck next year MLG. Once your fist-full of money has dried up, maybe you can go back to supporting professional gaming.
