GotFrag takes a look at a few of the teams competing in the first stop of the MLG PC Circuit.

(GotFrag) - The first stop of the MLG PC Circuit takes place in San Diego this weekend and the top World of Warcraft teams in the world will be there. Teams will be competing for over $22,500 in cash and 3 brand new HP Blackbird 002's. The tournament will be streamed live here on GotFrag TV. GotFrag takes a look at a few of the top teams competing in the tournament.

Pandemic

David "Sck" Quick, Paladin
Chris 'Douja' Cossey, Shaman
Joseph "Noktyn" Romano, Warrior
Mason "Nitrana" Groendal, Rogue
Greg "Malice" Risselada, Mage

Home WoW Realm(s): Archimonde, Tichondrius
Accomplishments: 7 1st place finishes @ WSVG, ESL & CGS

Pandemic is looking solid despite a roster change from their game leader Nathan 'Kintt' to Chris 'Douja' Cossey. During the online US Tournament Realm Ladder, they were among about a dozen teams who were competing for the 4th spot. For over a month they held the top 4 on the Ladder, even in the final day they were in top 4 range before getting passed up by Frag Dominant teams among others. It was a really competitive ladder, however their strategy with Horde RMP going into the tournament realm was to be strong versus Shadowplay and warlock based teams (The team that placed 1st on the online qualifier) but they never ended up playing against them.

Due to the abilities of Douja, Sck, Noktyn and the rest of their team, they can play multiple classes. One can only guess that Team Pandemic practiced hard for this upcoming tournament in their month-long boot camp in Conway, Arkansas with such time to enforce their strengths in the Meta Game of WoW arena 3v3.

Nihilum

Johnathan "Cherez" Martin, Hunter
Ryan van "Hydraa" Buiten, Priest
David "beasteh" Mountford, Druid

Home WoW Realm(s): EU-Magtheridon, EU-Stormscale
Accomplishments: 1st Blizzard Online Ladder Season 2 & Season 3, Misery & Cyclone

Nihilum Arena is a team made popular by Johnathan "Cherez" Martin a hunter from Nihilum's home server, EU-Magtheridon. They were picked up by Mous sports after Cherez's was able to achieve #1 online ladder ranking in all 3 brackets (2v2, 3v3, 5v5) - Afterwards his team of Beasteh (Druid), Hydra (Priest) and Cherez transferred over to EU-Stormscale (The European equal to BG9, their strongest Battlegroup BG3) where he made his namestake as the top hunter in Europe.

Ryan van "Hydraa" Buiten the priest has displayed his skills in a recent PVP video, although they are new to LAN this team is a force to be reckoned with. On European Tournament Ladder they were consistently Top 10 and put a lot of time into their practicing for this event. No one outside of the Europeans knows what to expect out of this team, however they will be the best European WoW team to step on US Soil thus far in the short history of WoW LANs.

fnatic

Kyle 'Azureflames' Holroyd, Mage
Jason 'Agnos' Weber, Warlock
Brian 'Caal' McPharlin, Druid

Home WoW Realm(s): Deathwing, Tichondrius
Accomplishments: 2nd place at WSVG Louisville & Dallas

Not that much is known about the current fnatic team make-up besides that 3 original members- Kyle 'Azureflames' Holroyd, Jason 'Agnos' Weber and Brian 'Caal' McPharlin will be in attendance at San Diego. Their orthodox team comp is Mage, Warlock, Druid - however in their practice sessions they've been playing Warrior, Warlock, Druid as well. They've kept their practice sessions and tournament realm status much to themselves; Fnatic could be bringing a new player along that nobody knows about - however it's safe to say that the team that brought them 2 Second place finishes at WSVG will be in attendance in MLG San Diego.

MoB TurtleForce

Sam "Zecks" Sandoval, Rogue
David "Ohnoes" Atz, Mage
Eric "Swarm" Cohen, Priest
Tim "Kollektiv" Yen. Shaman

Home WoW Realm(s): Smolderthorn, Tichondrius
Accomplishments: 2nd at ESL Sweden, 3rd WSVG Dallas, 4th WSVG Louisville 1st Blizzard Online Ladder Season 1, Reckoning

MoB Gaming's top team and always consistent duo of Sam "Zecks" Sandoval the rogue & David "Ohnoes" Atz the mage, considered the 2nd most successful WoW team, is coming into MLG San Diego on a mission to win it all and not finish 2nd to anyone. They picked up two new members in Eric "Swarm" Cohen and Tim "Kollektiv" Yen, who are both known as two of the top players in the US WoW Arena scene. Both Tim 'Kollektiv' Yen and Eric 'Swarm' Cohen have both made names for themselves in their WoW PvP Videos, among the top-end WoW arena community they are both known as skilled players with the experience and knowledge to bring them up to par with Pandemic and the best of the best.

Tim 'Kollektiv' Yen played for a team named Shadowplay on Tournament realm, which finished 1st overall with his guidance. His shaman ability is some of the best in the world and he adds a new dimension of play to this team. Eric "Swarm" Yen replaces Zizek, giving MoB much needed versatility needed considering he can play every healing class in the game at a high level. MoB Gaming should give any team a run for their money's worth.

MoB TurtlePower

May "Hafu" Wang, Druid
Andy "Rhaegyn" Miller, Warrior
Alex "Glick" Haderski, Warlock

Home WoW Realm(s): Mannoroth, Warsong, Tichondrius
Accomplishments: 4th Blizzard Phase 1 Tournament Realm, 1st Blizzard Online Ladder Season 1 & 2, Ruin

MoB's 2nd team attending MLG San Diego who will be filling in the shoes for Blizzard S1 WoW Arena World Champions "MoB TurtleBeach" features the WoW's top female gamer, May "Hafu" Wang. Alongside her long-time teammates of Alex "Glick" Haderski and Andy "Rhaegyn" Miller - both considered some of the best at their classes, will be considered the top Warrior, Warlock, Druid team in attendance. With Rhaegyn's ability to play rogue and warrior, they swap between two setups that display Warlock/Druid synergy the best in the game. Recently they won their tournament realm playoff versus Gotgame? Gaming, 3-1 - proving they were the top US Warrior/Warlock/Druid team. Giving them much needed confidence, they will have some heavy expectations to live up to for MoB Gaming.

Frag Dominant

Daniel 'Spoh' Street, Druid
Isaac "Azael", Warlock
Conrad "Zyz" Lope, Rogue

Home WoW Realm(s): Blackdragon Flight, Dark Iron, Tichondrius
Accomplishments: 3rd Blizzard Phase 1 Tournament Realm, 1st Blizzard Online Ladder Season 2 & Season 3

Led by Daniel 'Spoh' Street, who departed from MoB Gaming after WSVG ended, this team features Conrad "Zyz" Lope and Isaac "Azael". They finished 3rd in the Tournament realm qualifying, which won them a trip to Blizzard Regionals Tournament. Originally composed of a nexus of a skilled pug, considering they only recently started playing together during the tournament realm, they proved that they didn't need experience in order to compete with the Best. Frag Dominant picked up this mid tournament with interest that they could possibly make a name for themselves. Daniel 'Spoh' Street has been a veteran of many WoW LANs and it'll be on his shoulders to provide his newcomer teammates with the confidence to compete in the live setting, instead of the comforts of home.

Duelists Going For Glad - Frag Dominant

DJ "Celex" Roggenkamp, Mage
Corey "Emolol" Ratliff, Rogue
Daniel "Ely" Vulis, Priest

Home WoW Realm(s): Cho'Gall, Tichondrius
Accomplishments: 2nd Blizzard Phase 1 Tournament Realm, 1st Blizzard Online Ladder Season 3, Rampage & Bloodlust

Duelists going for glad, or promptly called DGFG is a team from the Cho'Gall server. They have been numerously #1 in the season 3 online ladder and one of the top Rogue, Mage, Priest teams in the world. DJ 'Celex' went to WSVG Dallas, however he wasn't allowed to compete due to late registration, however being friends with Team EG he quickly learned the ropes at WoW LAN and understood the difference nature and atmospheres between LAN versus Online.

DJ is considered the leader of his DGFG team and they'll be looking to stamp themselves not only as the top online team, but a top LAN team as well. His tournament realm ladder team placed 2nd during the qualifier and they'll also be competing in the Blizzard Regionals as well. DGFG showed the US WoW scene that the best teams have yet to be discovered and hope to prove in San Diego that they belong.

SK-Gaming

Vance 'Serennia', Warrior
Corey 'Glorin', Shaman
Neil 'Neilyo' Mosunic, Rogue

Home WoW Realm(s): Blackrock, Tichondrius
Accomplishments: 1st Blizzard Online Ladder Season 2 & Season 3, 4 Different Battlegroups

SK-Gaming sends their prize WoW player, Neil 'Neilyo' Mosunic to MLG San Diego in his first WoW LAN competition. Although he's not the only shining star among this popular team of Serennia, Neilyo and Glorin - his partner Serennia has been quoted as possibly the 'Best Warrior in the World'.

Who in the WoW Arena world hasn't heard of Neilyo? If you're a fan of Neilyo's you've seen one of his 14 rogue videos which are among the most popular WoW PVP videos on the internet. His popularity has given SK-Gaming tons of publicity, his videos and consistent online ladder feats have given him the reputation as the best rogue in the world.

However, the little known Corey 'Glorin', their shaman is perhaps one of the best at his class and he's the only person on the SK-Gaming roster with prior LAN experience. His previous team attending Season 1 Blizzard Regionals last year in San Diego. Despite suffering an 0-2 record with a unorthodox line-up, Glorin comes to San Diego to redeem himself and prove he belongs besides both of his teammates.

Currently Neilyo and Serennia have 4 2v2 teams 1st in 4 different Battlegroups. A feat unmatched by anyone in the world. With their online accomplishments come a heavy burden on their shoulders to finish among the best.
