The Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany will play host to the kick-off tournament of the Extreme Masters III. Twelve of the top World of Warcraft teams from around the globe will be in attendance for this event, including fnatic, x6tence, SK, Pandemic, and Nihilum. $30,000 will be up for grabs, as well as spots to the World Finals for the top two placing teams.

The tournament will start out with a group stage, with six teams in two groups. The top placing team will advance automatically. The second/third teams in each group will each play a relegation match to determine the final two teams to advance. From there, the tournament will run a normal double-elimination playoff format.

2nd. $6,000 + World Finals Spot for the Continent

You need to have a (free) account on the ESL site, have Octoshape Player downloaded (and then open it), then play the stream in Internet Explorer (just click the Play button, not the external player). The stream is down right now, but I assume it will be up at or around noon Eastern time).
