While everyone else in the world was busy leveling their characters up to 80, the Extreme Masters Asian Continental Finals took place in Seoul, South Korea.

Ten of the best teams from South Korea and China were invited to participate in the event. Both Council of Mages and kill E A won their groups to solidify their spot in the playoffs, while H O N and RUSH earned their spot through the relegation matches.

H O N would cruise their way through the upper bracket and earn the first spot to the Global Finals in March of 2009. Joining them in the Grand final was kill E A who battled their way back after falling to H O N in the first round, also earning them a spot in the Global Finals. H O N would be the victor in the end though, picking up $15,000 for their troubles.
