Fnatic's Warlock is arguably one of the best in the world. Age: 21 Hometown: Syracuse NY Student/Occupation: Student Game Nickname: Glick Team: Fnatic Favored Class: Warlock Favored Team Composition: WLD Battlegroup: Tichondrius Past Accomplishments: 1st MLG Orlando 1st MLG Dallas 1st Blizzard NA Regionals 08 3rd Blizzcon 08 3rd ESL Leipzig How did you get into playing World of Warcraft initially, what led to playing professionally and what keeps you playing the game? I picked up WoW coming from Everquest. I started playing competitively when the first 3v3 tournament came around and it looked like I had a shot of doing well. Gaming History: the console or PC games that you've played the most or had an impact? Have you played any other games competitively? Lots of EQ and lots of PlayStation. Outside of competitive eSports, what occupies your time. Are you a student? (major?) Any sports or hobbies? I've been getting into lifting not much else outside the ordinary To what extent do your friends and family know about this aspect of your life? How have they reacted? Will they be following the competition from home? They know a decent amount about it and most of them find it interesting that I get to travel a little bit and make money playing a video game. How did you come to be a part of your team? What are the factors that make this team the best choice for you? I transferred to BG9 for more competition with my old 5v5 team and knew Hafu and Rhaegyn from our original battlegroup. They had transferred for the same reason and we started playing together and did rather well during S3. What is your usual role on the team? As of this moment, what class is your favorite to play in competition? Warlock is the only class I find interesting How has the Wrath of the Lich King expansion and subsequent 3.1 patch changed competitive play from last year if any, in your opinion? The game is a lot worse off competitively with 3.0, and 3.1 didn't really make it better... just different. Warlocks got a lot less intricate to play which is pretty disappointing. If the classes were to remain largely the same come time for MLG Columbus, what comps would you expect to see in heavy rotation. What comps are you anticipating to be the most challenging to take down? Warrior, Warlock, Druid (WLD) What teams would you expect to pose the biggest threat to your own? Why? One of the European teams, since we play in different meta-games and they could do something totally unexpected that we aren't prepared for. For someone just starting out in WoW Arena PvP, what is the most effective piece of advice you could offer? What are the keys to success in WoW Arena? Bind all your abilities, learn to use focus frame and focus macros. Download Proximo or whatever people use these days especially if you're doing 5s.
