How did you get into playing World of Warcraft initially, what led to playing professionally and what keeps you playing the game?

I was playing a lot of Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2, and naturally I migrated over to WoW when it came out. The first Blizzard US Tournament started my "wow career". Since I dominated it we got picked up MoB and then I left them and join Team EG.

Gaming History: the console or pc games that you've played the most or had an impact.? Have you played any other games competitively?

WoW is the only game I’ve played competitively. I used to play a ton of DotA, D2, and Starcraft but nothing as serious as WoW.

Outside of competitive eSports, what occupies your time. Are you a student? (major?) Any sports or hobbies?

I’m a CS major which pretty much occupies a lot of my time from September to May.

To what extent do your friends and family know about this aspect of your life? How have they reacted? Will they be following the competition from home?

My parents just know that I play a game and are supportive about what I do as long as I earn good grades in school.

How did you come to be a part of your team? What are the factors that make this team the best choice for you?

I was initially brought on to be the 4th on Team EG to run a Druid/Shaman/Rogue cleave. Shamans sucked when I joined so it wasn’t viable for me to be a main healer. We never actually played a LAN together until 5 months after I signed on to the team.

What is your usual role on the team? As of this moment, what class is your favorite to play in competition?

I’m the main healer as a restoration shaman and is also my favorite.

How has the Wrath of the Lich King expansion and subsequent 3.1 patch changed competitive play from last year if any, in your opinion?

It’s made damage absurdly high so games are over a lot quicker. It also significantly lowers the margin of error you have when you make a mistake.

If the classes were to remain largely the same come time for MLG Columbus, what comps would you expect to see in heavy rotation. What comps are you anticipating to be the most challenging to take down?

There isn’t any main comp in the US but cleave teams are on the rise. I anticipate a very good cleave team giving us trouble, however we run a very well rounded comp which can pretty much beat anything.

What teams would you expect to pose the biggest threat to your own? Why?

Ensidia, because Hydra owns.

For someone just starting out in WoW Arena PvP, what is the most effective piece of advice you could offer? What are the keys to success in WoW Arena?

Practice and play without mods. Using no mods significantly increases your situation awareness, but it’s very painful to play without any if you’ve been mod dependent your entire WoW life.

Excellent Shaman. I played on one of the top 10 5v5's on Vindication in S5, he led the #1 team. One game, their Warrior DC'd and managed to 4v5 us for a considerable amount of time until mana became an issue, and we won. The next time we played them, it was 5v5 and they stomped us.

It's between him and Jfat for the #1 Shaman on our battlegroup, no question. They're both outstanding players who play mistake-free 99% of the time. GL in this tourney Kollektiv.

This kids picture is still haunting gotfrags front page. Seriously seeing this kid actually turns me off from wanting to be a gamer. He dosen't appear professional, seriously it looks like a little kid to me who spent way too much time on the computer and his parents bought him an extremely nice computer and he sat in his bedroom and played. He's not even a basement gamer jesus christ... But in all seriousness professional appearance is important otherwise you're going to turn people of from actually wanting to do what they do. No offense but I don't really care... no one strives to be this kid you need some actual wholesome role models who are actually doing well in life...

Tim Yen... My advice to you is to get a job. Go outside. You look like an Orc Shaman. Gfg. (noob)
