Ensidia

Roster and Possible Classes

Ryan "Hydra" Rendon - Priest
Mike "Cko/Redhot" Tyrrell - Mage
Chris "Kalimist" Ioannou - Rogue

Possible Setups - Team Armory

Rogue, Mage, Priest

In a strange way, Ensidia is both the underdog and the most favored team to win. Ensidia is the only team from Europe to compete at this event, and with that comes both distinct advantages and disadvantages. They are usually considered in the top 3 as far as RMP teams are considered, and looking at the last LAN event results of the ESL finals, it would seem that European teams are faring much better than American teams. All three players are extremely talented and are looking to prove that they are better than anything the American players can throw at them.

Hydra is most likely the most well known professional WoW player so far, mostly famous for his movies and his ability to perform well on LAN as well. His Priest skill is said to be unmatched and he put those skills to use at an MLG last year when he competed with the Nihilum team at San Diego and got 2nd place. Redhot is the Mage player for Ensidia and has done extremely well for himself in the past, being held in high regards by other Mage players. Redhot was originally a member of team Nihilum, which he played under another alias ‘Carekoala’ as a Druid. His team won Blizzcon 2008 over Fnatic & Yog’s former team ‘Selective Queuers’. Kalimist is a newer player in the tournament scene, but similar to everyone else on Ensidia, he is considered an exceptional player and will probably be able to surprise everyone who sees him play.

eMazing Gaming

Roster and Possible Classes

Twixz - Hunter
Payce - Paladin
Huy ‘Flexxorz’ Nguyen - Death Knight

Possible Setups - Team Armory

Death Knight, Hunter, Paladin

eMg comes into this event as a huge question mark. Out of all the teams attending MLG Ohio they are the most unknown. Twixz and Payce have played together in past online events, while Flexxorz is the newcomer due to their normal third, Neiro, being unable to attend.

They'll be running a different comp than most teams at the event. Twixz will be playing with a Hunter, Payce is the Paladin, and Flexxorz will be using the Death Knight. Their setup has been nerfed with the recent patch, and combined with the fact that they haven't had too much time to practice with this team prior to the event, makes them a pretty big underdog. However, with most teams playing RMP we could easily see some surprise upsets, either due to other teams not being prepared or eMg just knowing how to counter that exact comp.

Gravitas Gaming

Gravitas Gaming
Roster and Possible Classes

Corey "Emolol" Ratliff - Rogue
Daniel "Ely" Vulis - Priest
DJ "Celex" Roggenkamp - Mage

Possible Setups - Team Armory

Rogue, Mage, Priest

Gravitas Gaming is the third RMP team to be competing here at this MLG event, but they've also probably been playing it the longest together as a team. Unfortunately for them, they've also seen far too many second place finishes without a first place to compliment any of them. With all of the second place trophies under their belts, they've clearly got what it takes to be a top team, but they've been missing that special kick to actually grab the win in the final matches. Perhaps WotLK and 3.1 gave them what they're looking for?

Emolol plays the Rogue for GG and he plays it well. While he may not be as famous as players like Zyz or Happyminti, he's clearly been able to support his teammates well enough and take them to second place very often. Ely, the Priest, is the quiet player on team Gravitas. He takes a more relaxed and calm approach to the game, allowing him to make cool decisions without being too in the moment, something that may have prevented a few mistakes. Finally, Celex is the Mage and easily the most vocal player we've seen so far. He's famous for smashing his headset and breaking a laptop cover, but he should be more famous for his ability to control his opponents, as he's probably the best Mage in America.

SK Gaming

SK Gaming
Roster and Possible Classes

Joe "Enforcer" Morrone - Rogue
Mark "Pookz" Rendon - Mage
Ryan "Realz" Masterson - Priest

Possible Setups - Team Armory

Rogue, Mage, Priest

SK Gaming, as a brand, is probably the most recognized team in terms of eSports. However, their American WoW team has always been somewhat lackluster in performance and it seems like they are going to try something completely new to shake things up. Missing from the usual line up is Serennia as he is no longer on the team. Realz has taken up leadership for the squad, along with two other brand new members. As with Pandemic, playing with two other people who haven't experienced a LAN even may prove troublesome, but it may also play out to their advantage.

Enforcer aka Sekko has quietly developed as a top Rogue, not much is known about him besides that him, Pookz, and Realz teamed up to earn a trip to Blizzard Regionals on the recent Tournament Realm (Top 8 teams in the US advance to the Regional Round). Pookz is the Mage for this team, his online reputation is in the same breath as Venruki of coL. He is considered one of the best Mages in the US and he has been playing a Mage his entire career. Neither Enforcer nor Pookz have proven themselves on LAN before and must be hoping that they have removed LAN jitters from the equation. Realz is the experienced member of the team, having won ESL Philadelphia with Trade Chat Allstarz as a Rogue. He returns to MLG playing as a Priest and most definitely will not be as experienced as other Priests at this tournament. Look for this team to cause some serious upsets, as it is extremely difficult to say where their skill level is at in relation to other teams.
