GotFrag takes a look at the third set of matches live from MLG Columbus. ![]() JP McDaniel takes a quick look at the action that took place on the second day of play at MLG Columbus! Round Robin Match Nine Teams: Ensidia vs. Pandemic Final Score: 3-2 Ensidia wins
Impressions: Pandemic took the first match against the Europeans running Death Knight / Priest / Rogue by simply zerging the Priest down but on the second match Ensidia was ready for it and countered by killing Ohnoes on Dalaran. You can't do much to stop the Priest killing comp on Ruins and Pandemic easily takes the third map making it 2-1. On the fourth map (Blade's Edge) Hydra proved just how great a priest he is and survive the cleave and tied up the match. The fifth and final match would be on Nagrand and King Kintt couldn't catch a break as Ohnoes would get Sapped and opened on to close out another 2-3 loss for Pandemic. Round Robin Match Ten Teams: eMg vs. EG Final Score: 3-0 eMg wins
Impressions: A battle of Tichondrius eMg (still undefeated at this point) take on EG who have had more than their share of upsets so far this tournament. The first map would go to eMg who taunted EG after the match, depsite the lag that was occuring during the match effecting both teams. The next two maps eMg was relentless and wouldn't let Azael cast a spell, sealing the deal for eMg 3-0 and still undefeated. Round Robin Match Eleven Teams: Fnatic vs. SK Final Score: 3-1 SK wins
Impressions: SK-Gaming now faces Fnatic's line-up and many believe SK to be the favorite here. The first match SK simply swapped to the Yog (the Rogue of Fnatic) in the early part of the match and killed him instantly. Second map SK almost drops someone instantly but Fnatic prevails the victor when they catch a Rogue in a bad position. SK would go to win on the third match by training Glick and a nice CS on Hafu. The third win would come up next with Enforcer solo'ing yog. Round Robin Match Twelve Teams: Pandemic vs. Gravitas Final Score: 3-2 Pandemic wins
Impressions: Team Pandemic thus far in the tournament has been a tale of "almost there, but not quite," with their 2-3 losses to team after team. This match started out with wins for Pandemic with the first one resulting in a 2v2 and then a 1v1 between Beast and Celex (Death Knight vs. Druid). The third and fourth games were quite the opposite and highlighted the burst potential of a Ret Paladin when he practically solo'ed Ohnoes when Kintt (Priest) was playing too offensive. The fifth and final game came down to an opening sap on the Paladin of Gravitas, forcing him to bubble and then killing him after a close one with Ohnoes almost dieing.
