World of Warcraft: MLG Dallas Team Preview: x6tence

A sneak peak at one of the European teams attending MLG Dallas, x6tence.
GotFrag.com -x6tence is not new to the competitive World of Warcraft scene, and their recent performance at the European Blizzard Regional solidifies that fact.

In the past, this teams strength has come primarily from their versatility, allowing them to choose classes and comps that would prove to be most effective against their opponents.

However with the advent of 3.0, x6tence has been running the widely complained about DK/Hunter/Paladin setup.

Recent Success

x6tence recently had a first place finish at the 2009 European Regionals, beating out top RMP teams such as SK-Gaming and Ensidia. They had a rough start against Woah, sending them to the lower bracket in the first round.

Many said that poor play from the RMP teams allowed x6tence to capitalize and meet with Woah once again in the grand finals. Prepared as always, x6 was able to take out Woah 3-2 in the first series and 3-1 in the second, securing their spot for Blizzcon.

Upcoming Challenge

Interestingly enough, there will be at least one other successful DKHP team, and that’s eMg who took second at MLG Ohio. Most people would predict x6tence to be the better of the two teams, but with eMg team bringing in Kintt, their options are much deeper.

The trouble for this team at MLG will be the American RMP teams. The American SK squad has been on a roll, having won both MLG Ohio and the US Regional, who will most likely prove to be their most difficult opponent. Realz and co show no sign of slowing down, and neither do the other competitors.

Either way, x6tence is one of the teams to watch, always providing real entertainment at the events they attend. Whether or not they'll come out on top depends on their ability to deal with the American style of play, and the last time they faced any of these teams was at the EM Global Finals where they placed 7th-8th. Perhaps the victors there, HoN, will be just as successful against x6 again.
