Shrew talks about the endless line of fans eager to enter and the rush that ensued. ![]() A convention roughly the size of Dayton, Ohio dedicated to to all things Blizzard, BlizzCon has areas dedicated to Warcraft III, StarCraft, and World of WarCraft tournaments. In addition, you'll find a myriad of sponsor booths, merchandise outlets that make a Wal-Mart check-out area look small, and banks of computers with playable versions of Diablo III and StarCraft II. The line out the front door of the Anaheim Convention Center stretched about fourteen nautical miles, with the front of the line having camped there since the night before. It looked like Woodstock but with less girls and more social awkwardness. When the doors were opened a zerg rush of fans made a howling, running mob across the venue to lock in spots in various lines. Within minutes queues for the merchandise and playable demos were easily three hours long. Right now I'm set-up next to the main stage about to watch the opening ceremonies. I was mildly hinted at that their would be some sort of major announcement so we'll see, i'll be twittering updates live the whole time and put up a recap afterwards. Throughout the event we'll be twittering, blogging, and posting galleries. We'll be posting up-to-date scores and information on all three tournaments so keep checking GotFrag all weekend!
