World of Warcraft: Igoaf recaps SK.us vs. Woah

By: Keith - Published August 21, 2009 at 5:47 PM EDT - Writer Archive
I caught up with the world famous WoW play-by-play announcer Keith "Igoaf" Trahan as he was getting ready for SK.us vs. Woah

GotFrag.com - First lets briefly discuss why this match is such a big deal, especially for an initial round. SK-US with their recently released video from Realz showed the power of RMP when faced against a druid healer. By simply stripping the druid, they made it look easy as they destroyed each match. Woah responded by saying there is no way that their druid will go down as easy. SK-US starts the tournament by trying to prove they are the top RMP in the world with the power-house of Woah's WLD in their way.

Blizzcon will not be played on 3.2 meaning no resilience change in this tournament. Expect SK-US to come out with strong pressure with Enforcer starting the action. Woah's power will be in multiple targets being DoT'd with Ocelote leading the charge.

Game One

Blade's Edge - As expected both teams come out with no surprises as they are running their usual comps. Enforcer comes out mounted as he does get popped out of stealth... immediately onto Ocelote when he goes down to 50% he does manage to get away and get NS off. SK continues pressuring Ocelote with Innervate being used very early. Ocelote gets caught in another kidney and goes down with SK showing why they are considered the best RMP in the world.

Game Two

Ring of Valor - Fear from Realz to start the match as enforcer goes immediately onto Ocelote. Big damage onto enforcer and Realz isn't able to pick him back up. Woah brings it to 1-1 with a quick kill onto Enforcer.

Game Three

Dalaran - Early pet nova from Pooks as Enforcer immediately onto Inflame. Blind onto Ocelote which is immediately trinketed. A quick switch from SK onto Ocelote. Big damage from Woah realz doing a great job of keeping his team up. Ocelote still under pressure but he's able to kite away. Realz almost out of mana as Ocelote hits innervate. Enforcer pressures Ocelote again as he dips to 50% inside the kidney, Enforcer dips to 5k and cloaks. Enforcer falls down to almost no hp as Realz is able to pick him back up with a clutch heal, but as the match continues the pressure from Woah is too much and Enforcer will go down, Woah up 2-1.

Game Four

Blade's Edge - Match is slow to start as pooks run in and enforcer opens onto Ocelote who will not trinket the first kidney and is able to drop down and pick himself up. pain sup used onto Enforcer as realz is able to keep him up. Ocelote gets caught in another kidney as his trinket is down from Enforcer's blind and Ocelote gets domed bringing the series to 2-2.

Game Five

Ring of Valor - Enforcer goes straight to Ocelote with him falling to 50% as he tries to hug the pillar with his hp bouncing around 30%. after he pickes himself back up, Enforcer immediately blinds which he trinkets. Enforcer is able to open back onto Ocelote with Realz following with a fear into a deep freeze as ocelote goes down! SK-US wins the series 3-2.

Final Thoughts

SK-US comes out in their first series at Blizzcon showing they are one of the top RMP's in the world. All three members show confidence in their individual play and come together to form one of the most aggressive WoW teams ever seen. With a big win behind SK-US, will anyone be able to stop them on their way to $75,000?
