Kelly "Teek" Law-yone takes a look at the upper final match between TSG and ShipIt at BlizzCon 2009. ![]() TSG vs ShipIt TSG: Zilea, Valrath (dk), Veex (warrior) 2nd place at US regional finals ShipIt: Tsukiyomi (hunter), Kamiu (paladin) coilmaster (dk) 1st place at Korean regionals. Match One TSG: pal/dk/war vs ShipIt: pal/dk/hunter (survival) Blades Edge - Tsukiyomi gets focused at the start of the match which forces an early disengage at 10k hp. Shipit then focuses on Zilea, which causes him to bubble. TSG returns the favor onto Kamiu and forces him to freedom himself and bubble. Tsukiyomi gets very low but gets heals and ends up killing Zilea. The game is not over as TSG manages to kill Kamiu and now it is DK/hunter vs DK/warrior. Veex goes defensive and tanks coilmaster as valrath sticks to Tsukiyomi which leads to a win for TSG, 1-0. Match Two Ruins of Lordaeron - Coilmaster uses an early trinket to put pressure on Veex, but this causes Tsukiyomi and Kamiu to get low. Veex starts to get focused, but Kamiu and Tsukiyomi are still low. Hungering cold from Coilmaster came too late, and TSG wins making the series 2-0. Match Three Shipit changed to lock/hunter/paladin. (changed from pal/dk/hunter) Dalaran Sewers - Valrath gets focused at the start, making him pop his Icebound Fortitude and AMZ at 10k hp. Coilmaster is getting focused too, but Tsukiyomi is trying to put pressure on Valrath. Coilmaster gets to half HP and uses shadowfury to get away. Valrath gets very low and forces Zilea to BoP him. Valrath is still very low and gets stuck in a Hammer of Justice and dies. Shipit wins with Kamiu doing over 300k healing, making the series 2-1, in favor of TSG. Match Four Blades Edge - Shipit repeats their same strategy of focusing valrath, but Coilmaster gets focused and drops to 10khp. Kamiu is strangulated and unfortunately Coilmaster burns his shadowfury on a bladestorming Veex and completely misses Valrath. Tsukiyomi drops to the floor and is getting death coiled. Valrath gets focused, but Kamiu and Coilmaster are both low. Shipit is not doing very well as all three players are at low HP and Kamiu is almost out of mana. Veex sticks on Tsukiyomi and eventually kills him which results in a victory for TSG, making them the upper bracket finals winner, 3-1. |
