Recently we caught up with Enforcer and Pookz at BlizzCon to pick their brains about their experience. Commenting on the tournament and sharing a bit about what happened, we have Joseph "Enforcer" Morrone and Mark "Pookz" Rendon Enforcer, you’re known for having an aggressive play style. However, rogues can be vulnerable and are usually focused if caught out in the middle. How do you manage to survive? Enforcer: I have good communication with Realz (priest) and he basically lets me know when I can go offensive or if I need to be defensive with my cooldowns. If I get caught in the middle, usually Pookz can peel them off of me and I can coordinate my positioning around him. He’s usually in the middle in terms of where we are on the map, and kind of controls where we are. The Blizzcon Tournament featured several RMP counters. Do you still plan on running RMP or are you going to try to come up with a second comp? Enforcer: The only teams we lost to were RMP counters, so we’ll probably try to come up with another comp. We’re hoping (patch) 3.2 fixes it with the resilience change, but it was tough since this tournament was still bursty 3.1. The game is about balance, and we just need to adapt to game changes and if that means RMP isn’t the best for us, we’ll try something else. Pookz, as a mage, you’re probably not used to being focused. Do you have a specific strategy if that happens? Pookz: You’re right – I’m usually not focused. If I am, I iceblock and the other team usually switches targets. In one of the matches we lost, the other team stuck on me after the ice block which I wasn’t expecting. RMP is known for being extremely good at crowd control. How do these “counter comps” actually work against you? Enforcer: Well, we generally try to get on the healer and these DPS classes like DK and warrior – their damage is so much that it peels us off, even though they may not CC us. Sometimes we have to sacrifice Realz if it means getting a kill. Pookz and I are pretty good at winning matches if it becomes a 2v2. So who do you consider the mvp of SK? Enforcer: No one really, we all work together. I don’t view teams by how good an individual is, just how good/bad their whole team is. You play with your keyboard turned at a weird angle. What’s the story behind that? Does it give you an advantage? Enforcer: Haha, actually when I first started playing, my desk was too short to fit my keyboard so I had to turn it at an angle. I guess I just got used to it, so I play like that all the time. You mentioned you use the Tricks of the Trade glyph. How do you coordinate that with your mage? Enforcer: Well, I use it for my opener – because as you know, mage/rogue bursts can be fatal. I also use it when we’re making a quick switch. I call it out to my team and pop it usually then. That extra boost for Pookz can make it a winning game. Well Enforcer, you guys played some great games. Is there anything else you’d like to add? Enforcer: I’d like to thank our sponsors: Acer, Kingston, and Steelseries. Thanks for the interview, and we’ll see you next week at MLG Dallas.
