MLG Dallas Team Preview

GotFrag.com - With BlizzCon '09 just a shadow of the past, teams look forward to put their names down in the history books at MLG Dallas. All the big names will collide and leave only the strong left standing.

There is no clear cut favorite to win it here in Dallas. The additions of international teams HoN, aAa, and x6tence to the MLG PC Circuit as well as the 3.2 patch for this stop will play a major role in how round robin unveils.

Keep tuned into the stream for all the action! Don't forget that the high quality stream is available for only $5.99, an enticing offer to say the least. Find out more details here.

x6tence

Spain Nestor "Souler" Garcia Trabazo
Spain Javier "Siler" Dobon
Spain Victor Manuel "Falcon" Sanchez Lopez

There is no doubt that X6tence played very well at BlizzCon this year. They showed us they can take on the dreaded RMP, but when it came down to who can cleave harder, X6tence didn't quite bring their A-game. They were able to find success with their Warrior/Lock/Druid setup which put them into the semi-finals later on in the tournament. I wouldn't be suprised if I were to see them play the W/L/D again for MLG.

Button Bashers

South Korea Naehyun "Orangemarmalade" Kang
South Korea Seoungouk "Numberone" Oh
South Korea Woojin "Hannival" Kim

Team Button Bashers put on an amazing show at BlizzCon making sure everyone knows they are able and willing to play multiple setups without hesitation. Though they did not make it very far, every single match had everyone out of their seats and cheering for them. They've been practicing their Lock/Hunter/Paladin which is what i expect to see them play, but if push comes to shove they'll bring out the RMP which they have been known to use.

SK Gaming

United States Joseph "Enforcer" Morrone
United States Mark "Pookz" Rendon
United States Ryan "Realz" Masterson

SK has been known for their RMP which will assuredly be the team they play at MLG. Their mediocre performance and strategy landed them a 4th seat at BlizzCon. During their match with X6tence, Enforcer and Pookz offer little to no help at all to Realz (priest) and let him flop over to the death knight and hunter of X6tence. If they're going to have any shot at all at MLG, they will have to revise their strategy and stop trying to exchange healers.

Complexity

United States Elliott "Venruki" Venczel
United States Alex "Sodah" Ringe
United States Byron "Reckful" Berstein

Complexity made a line change from the last time they played in Columbus. They picked up Reckful who will be playing the rogue in place of Happyminty in their RMP. They play a fast paced, coordinated game and always assume control of the tempo. Constant pressure and crowd control will make them a force not to be taken lightly.

Gravitas Gaming

United States DJ "Celex" Roggenkamp
United States Michael "toes" Edwards
United States Austin "evilthief" Reid

After some strong early showings, this team has fallen off wagon in recent times with their poor finishes such as their 8th seat at MLG Columbus. Though you can never count this team out. They play a strong set up, the RMP, and will be looking to prove themselves worthy in this upcoming tournament.

Fnatic

United States Emerson "Woundman" Condon
United States Chris "douja" Cossey
United States Max "yog" Yueh

Team Fnatic will more than likely be playing their Rogue/Lock/Shaman. I know from experience Douja plays an incredible shaman and will be a huge force in thier matches. RLS stands a good chance at facing the many RMPs at this tournament, but I'm sure they will run into the dispel problems. Their warlock will have to be on his game to keep every match wrapped around his finger.

Against All Authority

France Ugo "Thorkin" Paci
France Julien "Pheonix" Dubois
France Dimitri "Hiss" Bouillet

I don't know much about aAa, but i do know they will be playing RMP. With a third place finish at ESL Montreal where they played respectable games against a very strong rostered Gravitas. They're considered to be a top RMP in Europe and apparently managed a qualification at their Blizzard Regional Qualifier with ease. One important note here is that they will be using a newer priest in their lineup, Thorkin, who took the spot of Anelit. They're going to have to be in top form to have any chance against the Cleaves.

eMazing Gaming

China Huy "Flexxzorz" Nguyen
United States Michael "Twixz" Shane
United States Nathan "Kintt" Quinn

eMg will be the only team playing the Hunter/Death Knight/Paladin at MLG. They've shown the unrelenting pressure they can put out with their Death Grip into a Beast Within. At MLG Columbus, eMg was outmatched and outplayed by SK Gaming in the finals playing this exact setup. I'm sure they will have all bases covered when they meet again in Dallas.
