GotFrag.com sits down with Check-Six's Michael "Twixz" Shane in preparation for MLG Anaheim.

(GotFrag) We recently got the chance to catch up with Twixz from Check-Six as he prepares for the upcoming MLG Anaheim event. After coming in 2nd in Columbus and 1st in Dallas, he and his team will be the most looked out competition for the weekend. With the recent addition of Toes to the lineup, and nerf to BM, Twixz and Check-Six will have their work cut out for them. It may just come down to how well they have prepared with the nerf and how well Toes communicates with his team.

Coming into Anaheim, do you feel the beast cleave is ready for the coming teams? Are there any teams you are looking out for?

[check6]Twixz: I do feel beastcleave is ready for the coming teams. We are preparing and not overlooking anything right now, but there is no single team we are looking out for at this time.

How do you feel Toes is doing in place of Kintt? Any major changes in chemistry or is the adaption overall good?

[check6]Twixz: We all know Kintt was a great healer. He has proved that over the course of competitive WoW. With that said, Toes brings another dimension to the team with fresh strategies and outlooks, his play is very solid and he is amazing at adapting. The chemistry is still there and probably stronger then ever.

There are a couple new teams to the MLG cycle including SK.EU and Complexity.BHMS. Do you feel any of the newer teams to the MLG cycle will prove themselves here?

[check6]Twixz: Well I don't think SK.EU has anything to prove as the players on that team have been around for a while now, but as for BHMS im not sure if they will be able to adapt to LAN play with no mods. I am not going to count them out though, because I was in there shoes not too long ago and I know it's possible for them to have a strong showing.

So, we know the 18 to 10 second nerf to BM will affect your teams overall play style and possible performance. Have you guys prepared for this that at Anaheim?

[check6]Twixz: Well, the patch is in right now and we have many things prepared for it. Of course they will be unleashed at Anaheim and wherever else we go after.

Do you feel that has brought you to more innovative strategies and a better sense of judgment to know what signs to look for when playing certain comps?

[check6]Twixz: Overtime our strategies have evolved and we have developed better judgment. Dallas was just the beginning to the comp as it was just invented and we were still learning. Now we have multiple strategies for a lot of the comps out there. Each are very affective in there own way.

Alright, the final question. Top 4 prediction and why. Shoot.

[check6]Twixz: My top 4 is Check-Six, SK.EU, coL, and EG or fnatic. Once it is in the top 4 I think a lot will come down to momentum and who draws who in the first round.

Okay, let's get the infamous shout outs over with.

[check6]Twixz: I would like to give a shout out to Check-Six and the new Microsoft Side Winder products. They are really solid.
