World of Warcraft: Get Yiska'd: What is this tournament doing to me...

The tournament is as unpredictable and crazy as we all predicted it to be. What?

GotFrag.com - It's been some time since my last article and there is a good reason. Divine Inflame has abandoned my love for him for a second by losing two matches in a row. With two losses to stomach and Check Six still ahead of them, they have to win every other match from now on with as many round totals as they can if they want to make it into the top four. Maybe a loss to Complexity on the first day would've been healthy for the team, as their self confidence seems to handicap them more than it helps them.

One reason for SK.EU's struggling is that from what I've seen so far it's pretty safe to assume that Tenderloin from EG is a beast. His outlasting ability is amazing and it looks like Azael found the right successor for the burden that Kollektiv had to previously carry. Even though they just lost a series against Complexity, I was very impressed with him.

Button Bashers are back on top of their game. After the match against SK.EU, aAa's Thorkin messaged me and expressed how amazed he was with the coordination this Korean team had. I couldn't agree more. Cheapshot into Sheep, are you kidding me? Keep in mind, this team is the ESL Global Champion. I have a feeling that we might see them in the finals.

The rumors of SK.US not having sufficiently practiced seem to be holding true as they are currently down 0-3. There are no excuses as Button Bashers have taken their RMP to the top of the standings. As fast as the game changes because of patches, or even players adapting their strategy at light speed, you can't allow yourself to rest before a tournament, not even if you've already won two tournaments as a team.

Check Six is also going strong and while people try to point out how ridiculous their comp is, after seeing Snutz soloed by Twixz, it's hard to base all of their success on it. I still think that moaning is useless simply because everybody is allowed to play the comp themselves. If you know Beast Cleave is at a tournament, and you don't have a working strategy against them or play the comp yourself, it's hard to argue that you should win.

I'm sure Kalgan, who's watching the games live in Anaheim, is already thinking of something. If I was a Hunter, Holypaladin or an Enhancement Shaman, I'd be scared right now.

It's been really exciting for me so far and I think I can speak for everyone that the tournament is great fun so far and we just made it through the first half of games. Awesooommeee.
