Right before the ASIA finals take place, the Intel Extreme Masters exposes both Groups for the World of Warcraft event in Hanover, Germany. Here is a look at the groups and how they may pan out: Groups: Group A Dignitas x6tence Asia 2nd Asia 3rd SK Gaming US fnatic Group B SK-Gaming Sansibar SK-Gaming EU Asia 1st iNNERFiRE compLexity Black Team EGIn light of these picks, Group B is the toughest by far. The group of death if you will. The interesting thing about these drawings is that all the first place finishers are in Group B. In competition, that should be a no-brainer - it cannot happen. Group A has all six teams without a first place finisher in the season on LAN, and rightfully so, some of these WoW contenders will be extremely upset about this. Looking forward, you can almost predict Dignitas to win Group A. In Group B, so many different comps will be played that it is extremely hard to pick a clear favorite even though compLexity Black has been on a hot streak for the entire 2009 year. Being in this group will not favor them, however, as all of these teams can pose a threat to their reign as the top composition to beat at the current time. Intense matches are on the rise, and the hot seats will be given to those that possess the most preparation and strategy. On the bright side, both groups will showcase some extremely close matches and victors will be crowned one round at a time. A more than realistic approach, however, would have been to split these groups up according to previous victories and then draw the rest. In this sense, we will see some of the greatest talent around the world get knocked out by one round while others may advance with ease. GotFrag.com will be here with you every step of the way in preparation for CeBit in Hanover, Germany, March 2nd-6th. |
